The Cabinet has authorized two new corridors for Delhi’s metro rail network, Union minister Anurag Thakur introduced at a media briefing after the assembly.

Here’s all it’s worthwhile to know:

(1.) The two new corridors might be constructed at a price of 8399 crore; these will come below Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro.

(2.) Of these, the Inderlok to Indraprastha hall is an extension of the present Green Line (Kirti Nagar/Inderlok to Brig. Hoshiar Singh) and may have whole 10 stations.

(3.) The stretch will cowl 12.377 kms with each underground (11.349 kms) and elevated (1.028 kms) strains.

(4.) It will present interchange with the next Lines: Red (Rithala-Shaheed Sthal), Yellow (Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre), Magenta (Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden), Violet (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh), Blue (Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City) and Airport (New Delhi to Yashabhoomi Dwarka Sector 25).

(5.) Additionally, it would supply enhanced connectivity with Bahadurgarh within the neighbouring Haryana.

(6.) The second authorized hall, then again, is a shorter stretch (8.385 kms) and is between Lajpat Nagar and Saket G-Block.

(7.) A totally elevated route, it would have eight stations, and supply connectivity to Magenta, Silver, Violet, and Pink (Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar) Lines.
