Former NHLer Gordie Drillon played two games with the North Sydney Victorias in the Cape Breton Senior Hockey League during the 1947-48 season. He had one assist.

The North Sydney club finished third in the regular season and lost in the league final to the Sydney Millionaires.

Drillon, a Moncton product, played seven seasons in the NHL between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens, recording 155 goals and 294 points in 311 games.

During the 1937-38 season, he had the most goals (26) and points (52) in 48 games. He won a Stanley Cup with the Leafs in 1942.

He finished his career in the New Brunswick Senior Hockey League with the Saint John Beavers after the 1949-50 season.
