New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case towards an Assistant Sub Inspector of Delhi Police posted at Cyber Crime, Bawana Police Station on allegations of bribery, the Central probe company mentioned on Thursday.

According to the company, ASI allegedly demanded Rs 7.5 lakh as bribe from the complainant to hush-up the case of Cyber Crime towards the complainant’s husband, CBI mentioned in an announcement.

CBI laid a entice and caught the accused purple handed whereas allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh as a primary installment from the complainant, it mentioned.

The company mentioned an investigation is underway.
