New Delhi, July 4 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case in opposition to a Sub-Inspector and a Head Constable of Delhi Police, each posted in Paharganj Police Station, for allegedly demanding bribe from a complainant, the Central company mentioned on Tuesday.

It was alleged that each, Sub-Inspector Ravi and Head Constable Rajender Meel, had been allegedly demanding bribe of Rs three lakh from the Complainant for not taking motion in reference to the unlawful borewell within the plot of the Complainant and for not stopping his ongoing development work on the mentioned plot, CBI mentioned.

It was alleged that the accused lowered the bribe to Rs 2.50 lakh on repeated request of the complainant, it mentioned.

During investigation, the SI and HC had been apprehended whereas allegedly demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant.

Searches had been being performed on the premises of accused, CBI mentioned.
