NORTH ROBINSON — Athletic director David Sheldon updated the Colonel Crawford Board of Education and those who tuned in to the board meeting on Monday night on the guidelines for the upcoming fall sports season.

Per a new mandate in the State of Ohio, the occupancy of any sports facility on game days shall not exceed 15% of the maximum capacity. Due to this, only 383 spectators will be permitted at the football stadium for games for Colonel Crawford home games, 180 spectators in the high school gym (for volleyball), and 75 spectators in the middle school gym.

To allow for more spectators at the games, a lot of the junior high home volleyball matches will be moved to the gym. The numbers will not include players, coaches, or anyone working at the games.

Football players, cheerleaders, and band members will be allowed to have only two family members there, and volleyball players will be able to have four people in attendance. Band members will be playing at home games only, and there have been bleachers set up in the South endzone for the band to allow for more seating in the home stands.

There will be no general admission tickets sold for the season, no passes of any kind (senior, lifetime, family, etc.) accepted, only those with a permit for a ticket will be allowed. Individuals can only go to a game that they have a permit for.

Gates to purchase football tickets will open at 5:30 p.m. and the purchase price is $6. All sub-varsity events will be $4 per ticket. Concessions will only be sold at varsity football games.

Spectators at both indoor and outdoor events are always required to wear a facial covering  and respect social distancing if not from the same family. There are “Xs” placed in the bleachers to indicate where spectators can sit to adhere with OHSAA guidelines.

The next board meeting will be September 28 at 7 p.m.
