Join the Health Department on Monday, April 1 by Friday, April 5 to have fun National Public Health Week with actions targeted on making our group more healthy, safer, and stronger.

The full week runs April 1-7 and this 12 months’s theme is “Protecting, Connecting and Thriving: We Are All Public Health.”  Public well being is greater than merely how the Health Department serves the Wellesley group — defending our entry to wash water and air, to nutritious and secure meals,  and to the fitting and talent to entry important well being companies — but additionally contains the methods our group thrives once we all have our wants met.

Monday, April 1 Meet Our Nurses

Tuesday, April 2 – Community Health 
Wellesley Free Library, 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Meet Sustainability Director Marybeth Martello and study what you are able to do to assist cut back the results of local weather change

Thursday, April 4 – Social Work
Wellesley Free Library, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Meet Health Department social staff, study psychological well being and self-care and accumulate a fidget toy
Wellesley Free Library Children’s Room,  3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Meet “Glitterbug” and study germs and why handwashing is so essential, plus enjoyable crafts, video games & giveaways (NOTE: This occasion is most applicable for youngsters)

Friday, April 5 – Environmental Health
Wellesley Free Library, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Meet the Environmental Health staff, study easy methods to preserve our public areas clear and secure, and see “Glitterbug” yet one more time!

The aim of the 29th National Public Health Week is to assist all of us assist and keep engaged with each other.
