The ceremony was attended by Deputy for Youth Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Dr Raden Isnanta  and representatives from related authorities businesses in Banten Province and Tangerang City.

The ASEAN Sports Zones initiative is supported by China by means of the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund with technical experience and tools procurement by China’s Sport International Co. Ltd.

ASEAN Secretariat, in cooperation with China, is endeavoring to advertise a wholesome life-style and energetic growing old whereas strengthening cooperation in sports activities by means of the institution of ASEAN Sport Zones.

This initiative gives native communities with out of doors health tools in ASEAN Member States, with Cambodia and Indonesia chosen as pilot nations in gentle of their chairmanship in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

The ASEAN Sport Zones aspire to host neighborhood sports activities actions that commemorate wholesome life-style and the spirit of commonality. It is envisioned that the following launch of the sports activities zones will coincide with important events reminiscent of ASEAN Day and China National Fitness Day to exemplify harmonious collaboration and shared values among the many communities in each ASEAN and China.
