Why is cocoa so costly?

Cocoa’s troubles stem from excessive climate in West Africa, the place farmers develop nearly all of the world’s cacao beans.

“Given where cocoa prices are, we will be using every tool in our toolbox, including pricing, as a way to manage the business,” Hershey CEO Michele Buck stated throughout an earnings name on Thursday.
