CALUMET — The Calumet Copper Kings volleyball workforce defended their Division 3 District 65 title Friday evening with a sweep of the Hancock Bulldogs on the Calumet Gym. The Copper Kings gained, 25-18, 25-19, and 25-15.

Jackie Kiilunen and Maddie Torola paced Calumet with 11 kills every. Kiilunen was additionally good defensively with 13 digs.

Allison Bjorn was key in all elements for the Copper Kings. She had 9 kills, 14 digs, and two blocks.

Caitlyn Strom fnished with six kills and one block.

Laina Kariniemi unfold the ball round nicely, racking up 38 assists and was key on the service line with 4 aces.

UP NEXT

Calumet strikes on to face Manistique Tuesday within the Region 17 semifinals. The match will probably be performed at Marquette High School at 6 p.m.
