There is one new case of coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health.

Saturday’s case is a man in his 50s who arrived in New Zealand on July 12 from Central Africa via Tanzania, Doha and Brisbane. He is now in a quarantine facility in Auckland after being transferred on Friday.

On Friday there was one new Covid-19 case – a man in his 30s who travelled to New Zealand from Pakistan via Dubai on July 10.

There were 22 active cases, all in quarantine management.

On Friday labs completed 2403 tests. They’ve undertaken 441,123 tests to date.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1200 confirmed cases to the World Health Organisation (WHO) since the pandemic began.

Seventy-eight days have passed since New Zealand recorded its last case of community transmission.

No-one in New Zealand is receiving hospital-level care for Covid-19.

All isolating arrivals are still being tested on or around day three and day 12 of their 14-day stay. They need to return a negative test before being discharged from the facility.
