“I have been saying that a conspiracy to defame the Maharashtra government and its people is being executed through Wankhede and BJP is behind all this,” Malik told mediapersons.

He added that the conspiracy started when Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide last year and his girlfriend and actor Rhea Chakravarty was arrested by the NCB.

“They are trying to defame our Bollywood, and take it out of Mumbai to shift it to Uttar Pradesh,” Malik said, referring to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath planning a film city in Noida.

He questioned Wankhede’s hesitancy in taking action against Kashif Khan, head of Fashion TV India, who was present on board Cordelia cruise ship when the NCB raided the ship on October 2.

“Kashif Khan is involved in a drug racket and has good relations with Sameer Wankhede. I have been told by NCB officers that they were stopped by Wankhede from raiding Khan on previous occasions. I want to ask Wankhede why Kashif Khan was not arrested,” Malik said.

Wankhede, meanwhile, described Malik’s allegations pertaining to Kashif Khan as an “absolute lie”. Khan also claimed that he had no role to play in organising the event on board the ship. “I neither know Sameer Wankhede nor have I ever met him in my life,” Khan said.

Malik, meanwhile, said that he would be making more revelations about the case and the link of BJP leaders in the upcoming Maharashtra legislative Assembly’s Winter Session.

“I am going to expose some BJP leaders and their connections with NCB officer Sameer Wankhede in the Winter Session starting from December 7. It will be a stormy session and once those names are out, the BJP leaders will not be able to show their face in public,” Malik added.

He also sent another letter to the NCB director general seeking investigation into the 26 cases, where he has claimed innocent persons were framed in drug cases by NCB.
