The authorities can be working the Cyber Swachhta Kendra, which studies malicious packages and free instruments to the federal government. The National Cyber Coordination Centre (NCCC) has been set up to generate necessary situational awareness of existing and potential cyber security threats reported IANS.

In another recent incident of cybercrime, Chandigarh Police said filed an FIR in response to a complaint from a lady in Sector 28 who claimed that a cyber fraudster had defrauded her of Rs 3.25 lakh after tricking her into using a marriage website as a trap. The incident happened in 2021.

The lady created a profile on a matrimonial website, and a guy who claimed to be a physiotherapist living in the USA contacted her after finding her information online, according to the police. Details indicate that the woman subsequently began calling the suspect, who gave his name Amit Trivedi.

Later, the man allegedly informed the woman that he would be visiting India to meet with her in order to get married, The Indian Express reported.

Later, the woman reported to the police that she had received a call claiming to be from the airport authorities from an unidentified person. The caller allegedly went on to inform the woman that they had detained a man who had arrived by plane from the Mumbai airport and was carrying a significant amount of American currency.

They warned the woman that her friend would be apprehended if she didn’t pay a tax of Rs 3.25 lakh by September 1 of 2021. As a result, the woman paid the amount from her account and then realised she had been duped.

Inspector Hari Kumar, SHO of the cyber cell police station, acknowledged, “We have filed a case and recognized particular suspects within the case. They will quickly be taken into custody. We consider that sure Nigerian residents are concerned on this case of dishonest.”
