David O’Neal Pinkston Sr., 70, was reunited with his parents and brothers in heaven September 19, 2020. He was born on February 14, 1950, in Parkersburg, WV, and was the son of the late Delmus E. Pinkston, Sr. and Waneta Randolph Pinkston.

David was a lifelong resident of Parkersburg and enjoyed watching PHS Big Reds football. He was also an avid Cleveland Brown’s fan. David was employed at Foodland and St. Joseph’s Hospital. He also liked walks, listening to music, spending time with family and especially watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharolyn Cross Pinkston; son, David (Sheri) Pinkston, Jr., son, Michael (Kimberly) Pinkston; daughter, Joann (Brandon Sisk) Murphy; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Delmus Pinkston, Jr. and Daniel Pinkston.

Services will be Wednesday 1 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Rick Johnson officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North.
