Delhi School Evacuated After Bomb Threat, Nothing Suspicious Found Yet

New Delhi:

Students of a south Delhi college have been evacuated on Monday after the college obtained a bomb risk through electronic mail.

According to police, an electronic mail was despatched to Indian Public School in Sadiq Nagar at 10:49 am, claiming {that a} bomb has been planted on its premises. The college was evacuated as a precaution, they added.

Videos from outdoors the college present a big crowd, largely dad and mom of the scholars, assembled on the gate. “We received a message from the school asking us to take our children home,” one of many dad and mom mentioned.

“This shouldn’t be the primary time the college admin obtained a bomb risk. Last 12 months in November, the admin obtained the same electronic mail from an unknown sender. That was a hoax electronic mail. Our groups are on the spot with Bomb Disposal Squad and canine squad,” senior police officer Chandan Chowdhary advised information company ANI.

So far, nothing suspicious has been discovered.
