Denison Adds Kristen Skroski as Assistant Coach

Denison has added Kristen Skroski as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 season, the reigning Division III champions introduced on Monday.

Skroski swam at Bucknell University, the place she graduated in 2008. The teaching expertise since has been principally within the membership realm.

“We’re fortunate and excited to add Kristen to our coaching staff,” head coach Gregg Parini stated in a team statement. “She brings a wealth of coaching experience and expertise to the Denison program. I look forward to watching our student-athletes benefit from her high-energy coaching.”

Skroski spent the final six years teaching at Cypress Fairbanks Aquatic Club in Texas. Before that, she spent practically a decade at Amity Regional Aquatic Club in her dwelling state of Connecticut.

Skroski was a three-time All-Patriot League choice and a two-time Academic All-Patriot League choose. She was the crew’s MVP in 2008, the 12 months she acquired her bachelor’s diploma in animal conduct.

“I’m very excited to be joining such an established and successful coaching staff at Denison University and stepping into the college arena with such an intelligent and talented team of student-athletes,” Skroski stated. “I can’t wait to add my creativity and passion to the mix and see what levels we can reach. Go Big Red.”

Skroski fills the emptiness left by affiliate head coach Kim Lloyd, who stepped down after 9 seasons at Denison to attend regulation college. Lloyd helped the Big Red ladies’s crew win its second NCAA Division III Championship in 2023.
