Marion County, Fla. — Marion County residents now have a brand new plan to realize higher general well being.

The Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) on May 1 printed the 2023-26 Marion County Community Health Improvement Plan, or CHIP.

Healthy Aging (HA)

Goal WP2:  Foster wholesome behaviors to decrease continual illness prevalence in Marion County.

Behavioral Health (BH)

Goal BH1:  Reduce excessive utilization calls of the 911 system from adults for psychological well being companies.

Goal BH2:  Educate suppliers and the neighborhood on the provision and accessibility of behavioral well being applications and companies in Marion County.

Goal BH3:  Expand entry to behavioral well being care amenities.
