Lisa Marie Presley , the one youngster of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley died on January 12, after being found unresponsive at her home in Calif, by her ex-husband. Now, latest reports state that the 54-year-old singer-songwriter died of a “small bowel obstruction attributable to scar tissue that developed after a earlier bariatric surgical procedure years in the past.”

Lisa Marie Presley died of bowel obstruction

As per a report in Entertainment Weekly, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner confirmed the news on Thursday about Presley’s death , stating that the way of her demise was pure. The report added that as per the coroner’s report, the obstruction that in the end led to Presley’s death was in the form of a strangulated small bowel caused by adhesions that developed after a bariatric surgery years ago.

Drugs did not contribute to death

The report further added that a toxicology report founf that there were therapeutic levels of oxycodone as well as traces of buprenorphine, which is prescribed for pain relief. Blood also contained traces of quetiapine. However, the drugs were deemed to not have contributed to the death of Presley.

Lisa Marie Presley’s last public appearance

Lisa Marie Presley’s final appearance would turn out to be at the Golden Globes just two days before her death. She was at the acclaimed event in support of Elvis – the biopic about her late father by Baz Luhrmann. The event would see Austin Butler, who played the titular role, win the Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama. He thanked Lisa Marie and her mother in his speech. “Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I like you ceaselessly,” he said. Lisa Marie had previously praised the film as “nothing wanting spectacular.”
