ABOUT THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity awaits for a passionate Entertainment Manager to work with the SE team and manage a portfolio of diverse clients across Major Events, Corporate Events and Private Events.

This is a hands-on role where you will act as a liaison between the client and the performers. You will be developing concept proposals, new entertainment strategies and identifying relevant talent to compliment the clients brief and budget.

You will be working in a dynamic team and need to need to be driven, enthusiastic, thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess an outstanding attention to detail. Team player and love of entertainment is a must!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conceive, create, budget, plan, manage and execute a range of entertainment across a portfolio of SE clients
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, talent and suppliers
  • Manage all aspects of end-to-end entertainment including casting, scheduling, music direction, talent and supplier management, AV and production specifications and OH&S requirements
  • Respond to client and supplier enquiries professionally and within the agreed time frames
  • Negotiate contracts with talent, suppliers and other industry professionals
  • Coordinate vendors to ensure that all services are provided as agreed upon and within budget
  • Manage all operational aspects related to entertainment and ensure they run smoothly
  • Proposal writing, budgets management, scheduling, run sheet management
  • Stage management as required
  • Attend client meetings and manage associated WIPs, agendas, schedules etc.
  • Support the GM on business development strategy and implementation
  • Mentor direct and indirect reports and act as a team player
  • Uphold SE’s brand values in all dealings 

Skills required:

  • A solid understanding of the entertainment industry
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Sound negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time 
  • High attention to detail
  • Can work well and deliver under pressure and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, venues and talent
  • Is prepared to travel and work outside business hours as required
  • Possess a cooperative, collaborative, solution-orientated mindset and can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally
  • 2+ years of experience in the events industry or similar
