NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — There’s no shame in turning 40 — especially when you’re the longest-running entertainment news show.

“Entertainment Tonight” — of which 1010 WINS is the New York City radio affiliate — kicked off it’s 40th season Monday, and pandemic or no pandemic, “ET” isn’t slowing down.

“We have big things planned for this anniversary,” co-host Kevin Frazier said during an interview with NBC Las Vegas affiliate KSNV. “We will not let the pandemic spoil this party. We will come to you with some big stars from some big places. Don’t worry, we got you covered — when you need that exhale, come exhale with us.”

Frazier added, “We are the breath of fresh air away from all the craziness … We are here to give you a moment to breathe.”

“ET” in June won its fifth Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment News Program.

The 40th season kicked off on Monday with an exclusive interview with Rachael Ray, who recounted the fire that destroyed her upstate New York home. “ET” also spoke with Dog the Bounty Hunter and his new fiancée, Francie Frane.
