In his own words:
Over the summer I flew the T-53A as a part of USAFA’s powered flight program. I also completed the online Astronautical engineering course while participating in the flying program. Following graduation, I am hoping to get a pilot slot and start pilot training. I am still undecided on what airframe I would like to fly. Throughout this pandemic, I have learned the importance of family. This includes family by blood and the family I have chosen. I learned how fortunate many of us are to have people in our lives that we can count on when the going gets tough and that not everybody has that luxury. Every day is a gift from God and should be celebrated as such, no matter what the circumstances.

2019 – Played in all 13 games starting four … started four straight games (Army, Colorado State, New Mexico and Wyoming) … led the team with five punt returns for six yards … had three catches for 25 yards on the season … one carry for three yards vs. New Mexico … one catch for eight yards vs. Washington State in the Cheez-It Bowl … one catch for a career-long nine yards vs. San Jose State … first-career catch, good for eight yards and a first down, at Boise State.
2018 – Played in six games … was not credited with any offensive statistics … had one special teams tackle.
2017 – Did not see any varsity action.
High School – Lettered four years in football and soccer and one each in basketball and wrestling … four-time all-conference honoree in football on offense … earned first-team all-conference honors on offense three years … first-team all-conference on defense twice and was twice named first-team all-conference on offense and defense in the same season … earned all-state honors in soccer two years … was his high school’s valedictorian.
Personal – Son of Gary and Kim Peterson … is one of five children … his younger brother, Danny, who has Downs Syndrome, serves as his inspiration … majoring in mechanical engineering … hobbies include hunting and fishing … completed a summer academics course in civil engineering and was on the cadet cadre for Basic Cadet Training in the summer of 2019.
