In her own words: 

“While home, I was a part of the Junior Fellowship at National Defense Industrial Organization (Arlington, VA) where I served as a subject matter expert in national defense acquisition strategy and policy, contributed research to company online publications and Vital Signs report, and constructed research product on federal acquisition trends in the last decade.”

“When I returned to USAFA, I participated in a CSRP with DFRL involving research into further development of the Volpe Fuel Transportation Optimization Tool (FTOT) model.”

“Upon graduation I am hoping to commission as a Space Force Acquisitions officer.”

“Throughout all the chaos and frustration of COVID-19 one of the most important lessons I learned was how to keep an open mind and appreciate the good aspects of every situation.”

2019 (Junior): Started all 18 games in net and played every minute, totaling 1,679…Totaled 70 saves for a save percentage of 72.9 percent and a goals against average of 1.39…Had seven shutouts, which is the second-most in a single season and the most in a single season in the D1 era…The 10 GK wins is also tied for the second-most in program history…Named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, Sept. 9, after tallying a 3-0 shutout win over Army West Point…Also named Academic All-Conference.
 
2018 (Sophomore): Appeared in two matches as a backup goalie, totaling 26 minutes…Played for 15 minutes in first career game against Creighton, August 24, and made first career save…Named to the Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Team
 
2017 (Freshman): Did not appear in any games.
 
Club/High School: Lettered four years in soccer and three in basketball…First-Team All-State and All-Met as a senior…team captain as a senior…SoccerWire.com best 11 players of the month for December of 2015…high school soccer coach was Haroot Kakopian…played club soccer for Bethesda Soccer Club, coached by Michelle Rodriguez-Smith…West Point Leadership and Ethics Conference invitee…Washington and Lee Academic Book Award recipient…AP Scholar with Honor…Engineering and National Honor Society..
 
PERSONAL: Member of cadet squadron 11…Daughter of Joe and Rachel Katz…has three sisters…nickname is Dani…majoring in operations research…would like to attend pilot training upon graduation…Why I came to the Academy: “I came to the Academy to go to a school that is different from all the others and do things that the average person wouldn’t be able to do.  I came to do something special with my life.” …hobbies are cooking and skim boarding…favorite food is macaroni and cheese…favorite class subject is math…enjoys listening to Coldplay…favorite TV show is That 70’s Show…favorite movie is Ratatouille…person in history she’d most like to meet is Amy Winehouse…something not many people know about him is that she can read Hebrew…advice to young people is to have fun while you can…credits her parents as having the biggest influence on her sports career…most noteworthy thing about her hometown is the crabs available to eat…best personal moment in soccer was allowing just three goals one season…enjoys cooking and going to the beach when away from soccer…favorite athlete is Tony Hawk.
