Former cricketer Mithali Raj has reached Ayodhya for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ram Mandir. He instructed ANI, “I feel what one feels when they are at a very religious place…We all wanted this for a very long time and I feel it is a calling to be here on this big occasion. It’s a celebration and we are all happy to be here and be part of the celebration.”

Anil Kumble who reached Ayodhya yesterday, stated, “It is a wonderful occasion, a very divine occasion. Blessed to be a part of this. It’s very historic. Looking forward to seeking blessings from Ram Lalla…”

Sahin Tendulkar left for Ayodhya from Mumbai early within the morning. He has reached for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on the Ram Temple.

Ace shuttler who has reached Ayodhya stated, “I think this is a big day for all of us. I am fortunate to have received the opportunity to be here today. We will have the darshan of Lord Ram here. So, we are waiting for that moment…I can’t express my joy in words…”   

Besides Tendulkar, World Cup successful captain Kapil Dev, ‘little master’ Sunil Gavaskar in addition to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Virendra Sehwag and Indian cricket coach Rahul Dravid are on the listing too. From the present Indian cricket workforce, Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma have been invited. Weightlifter Karnam Malleswari, footballer Kalyan Chaube, long-distance runner Kavita Raut Tungar and paralympic javelin thrower Devendra Jhanjadia have obtained an invite as have girls cricket captain Mitali Raj, shuttlers Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand. It will not be clear what number of of them will really attend the opening of the 161-feet-tall pink sandstone shrine.
