German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock to start 2-day go to on Dec 5

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will likely be on a two-day go to to India starting December 5 as the 2 nations look to strengthen cooperation, the Ministry of External Affairs mentioned Thursday.

Baerbock will Monday maintain talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on bilateral, regional and international problems with mutual curiosity, MEA spokesman Arindam Bagchi mentioned.

German Ambassador to India Philipp Ackermann referred to as on Jaishankar on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Germany introduced that it had finalised 22 initiatives totalling €1 billion to help transition to renewable power in India.

The funding, together with 10 per cent grants and 90 per cent within the type of strains of credit score, will help India’s efforts within the fields of renewable power, sustainable city improvement in good cities and sustainable use of pure sources, German Ambassador Ackermann mentioned.

India and Germany celebrated 70 years of the institution of diplomatic relations final 12 months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Germany twice this 12 months.
