Recovery Walk and Celebration

Join in for a Recovery Walk and Recovery Celebration tonight from 5-8 p.m. at the Red Roof Pavilion, 1561 Phillip Fulmer Pkwy., Winchester.

Memorial Bluegrass and Gospel singing

The Dixie Sims Memorial Bluegrass and Gospel singing is Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at Camp Rain, 626 Bennett Cemetery Road, Decherd. Featured groups include The Sims Family, The Agee Family and Boyett Sisters. Seats will be provided, but you may bring your own. Supper and concessions will be available.

The Winchester Wriggle is Saturday from 5-9 p.m. in downtown Winchester. Enjoy arts, music and more while strolling the Square.

A Red Cross blood drive will be held Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Franklin County High School, 833 Bypass Road Winchester.

Republican Party bonfire night

The Franklin County Republican Party invites everyone to bonfire night on Oct. 8 at the Peters-Davis farm behind Factory Furniture in Estill Springs. Bring a chair and enjoy an evening of music, barbecue and speeches starting at 5:30 p.m.

Hospice of the Highland Rim Foundation invites runners and walkers of all ages to enter a 5K turkey trot run/walk and one-mile fun run featuring a moderate, out-and-back, paved trail Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at Tims Ford State Park. Check in at 7:30 a.m. at the park’s visitor center. All entrants are guaranteed a T-shirt if registered by Oct. 2 at www.hospiceofthehighlandrimfoundation.org/5k-turkey-run.html. Pick up a form at the visitor center, send an email to HHRF@lighttube.net or call 931-563-7439. Proceeds benefit hospice patients in Franklin, Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Grundy, Lincoln, Moore and Warren counties. Entry fee is $35 for individuals or $100 for teams (up to five individuals may form a team). Participants will be awarded at the visitor center after the race. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

Wine, Whiskers and Fancy Treats

Everyone is invited to Animal Harbor’s Wine, Whiskers and Fancy Treats event Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. at LaBella Pearl’s, Sewanee. Enjoy wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres and music on the beautiful, outdoor patio. Woof Stock: 2 music and auction fundraiser

Everyone is invited to join in for Lee Gibson’s Woof Stock: 2, featuring a night of fun and entertainment at the Honeysuckle, 60 Slip-Away, Winchester, on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. Enjoy music and a live auction with items from country music artists and local merchants.
