COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department suspended Brookside Midtown’s operating permit for their pool Saturday morning.

The health department has been there twice within the past 6 days since residents and guests were not following the current health order.

The health department reported people were not social distancing. They were also walking around the pool area with drinks.

This is one of several complaints the health department has received about the apartment complex.

On June 12th, the health department alerted residents they may have been exposed to COVID-19 if they had been at the pool.

People who were at the pool that day were advised to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms since they may have been in close contact with someone who was infectious at that time.

ABC 17 News has reached out to management of Brookside Midtown and is waiting for comment.
