While it is recommended to opt for nutritious snacks, this does not mean that you have to compromise on the taste. So, if you’re looking for a healthy yet delicious snack, this healthy hara bhara kebab recipe by Chef Guntas is just for you. It is crispy, creamy and oh-so flavourful! It is rich in protein thanks to the use of paneer and besan and makes for a healthy tea-time snack. You can indulge in these kebabs totally guilt-free! So, without much ado, let’s take a look at the recipe.

Hara Bhara Kebab Recipe: How To Make Healthy Hara Bhara Kebab

Ingredients:

  • Spinach, blanched – 250gm
  • Green peas, blanched – 1 cup
  • Green chillies – 2-3
  • Coriander & mint leaves – 100gm
  • Large boiled sweet potatoes -2
  • Grated paneer – 100gm
  • Chickpea flour/besan – 2/3 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chaat masala – 1 tbsp

Method:

  • Start by blanching the spinach. Squeeze out excess water from it and transfer to a blender. Add peas, green chillies, mint and coriander leaves. Blend until you get a thick puree.
  • Now, transfer this puree to a bowl. Add grated sweet potato, ginger-garlic paste, chickpea flour and grated paneer with a bunch of spices. Mix it well and make small balls out of it. 
  • Flatten them out and cook them on low-medium heat with very little oil.

Chef Guntas also shared the following tips in the caption:

  • Since this is the healthier version of the recipe – we’re using sweet potato instead of regular potatoes.
  • Shallow fry the kebabs instead of deep frying them.
  • Avoid using bread crumbs to make it healthier but if the mix is not holding shape, you can add bread crumbs as a binding agent.
  • These kebabs are protein rich and healthy for snack time.
