Pre-lockdown, they were often papped outside their favourite gyms and fitness studios. The action (and squats) may have moved to their homes now, but that dedication to shaping up remains undeterred. The go-to uniform often includes tights worn with a sports bra—after all, that taut midriff deserves a moment in the sun… and on Instagram feeds.

Take fitness aficionado Katrina Kaif, for instance. The actor started the lockdown on a high (intensity) note, dropping workout videos with her trainer, Yasmin Karachiwala. Kaif favours high-neck crops that are best suited for high-impact workouts. Fitness entrepreneur Malaika Arora’s dedication is what we aspire to. The limber star is as adept at the malasana as she is at picking out trendsetting workout gear. Most often spotted in solid colours and matching sets, she prefers her sports bras to feature playful details like mesh detailing, back cut-outs and even one-shoulder straps.

Deepika Padukone can be spotted engaging her core largely in solid blacks and whites, with the occasional pop of pink, while Anushka Sharma is all about neon numbers at her home. Jacqueline Fernandez outfit of choice for her time on the yoga mat typically includes colour blocked separates. And Athiya Shetty’s clean and minimal aesthetic, including her penchant for black, extends to her sports bras as well. Janhvi Kapoor is rarely not working out in a sports bra. The 23-year-old doesn’t shy away from experimenting with her choices, and has been seen in an army of strappy numbers, halter-necks and cut-out styles in a bold burst of colours.
