Speaking on the effect of the recent pandemic on his company plans, Ghimire says; “The pandemic has impacted us in a very good way as we have got all the time in the world to develop the minimum viable product and run user tests on it. We also feel that it has brought us to a level playing field with the old and big companies and thus we are excited to find ourselves in a suitable position to work on our tech enablement and releasing the product to the market as and when travel picks up,” he mused. Ghimire also highlights tech enablement and destination management as two areas in which his company hopes to improve in the coming months.

As with most competent business men, Ghimire saw the silver lining. He used the lockdown to better connect with his customers, by collecting customer feedback that has helped him begin projects aimed at improving the customer’s overall experience. Some of these projects include infrastructural development, travel footprint calculator and adventure planning free from unnecessary hassle.

When he isn’t travelling and exploring new places, you’re likely to find the young entrepreneur engaged in intensive workout at the gym and taking AIKIDO martial arts training, as well as cycling. During the current lockdown however, Ghimire has engaged in activities like reading business management books, empowering his maintenance staff to engage in business and setting up his very own fish pond.

On the structure of his revenue generation model, Ghimire says, “We provide revenue management services for our partners and our revenue model is a mix of company-owned sales proceeds, commissions on partner sales, itinerary planning fees, and concierge services fee.” Prior to the pandemic, the company was able to generate Rs 65 lakhs in revenue. However, the pandemic has struck and the company has been forced to refund payments up to Rs 5 lakhs without any profit being made.
