An enormous fireplace has erupted at an oil pipeline within the western Ukrainian area of Ivano-Frankivsk, injuring three individuals, emergency providers stated Saturday.

“At 5 p.m. (1400 GMT), near the village of Strymba, Nadvirna district, an oil pipeline (150 millimetres in diameter) ruptured,” Ukraine’s State Emergency Service stated.

It stated that the rupture led to an oil spill spanning an space of 100 sq. metres.

The reason for the hearth was not instantly clear, however native media retailers stated there had been a robust explosion.

“Rescuers are working at the scene,” the emergency providers stated.
