In a video shared by the news agency, the IAS officer could be seen conducting a raid and taking out expired medicines at the health centre’s pharmacy.

Krati Raj said, “Half the medicines were expired, cleanliness was also not maintained.” She added, “Work was not being executed within the spirit of public service. We have famous these complaints and we’re investigating.”

Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Dr Rambadan Ram dismissed the claims that expired medicines were being given to patients. “I conducted an inspection at 12.05 pm on Wednesday. Work was on for cleanliness and painting. No major shortcomings, as pointed out by SDM were found at the health centre,” Hindustan Times quoted the CMO as saying.

He went on so as to add that no expired medicines have been being distributed to sufferers. Claiming that the SDM discovered ‘a wrong box of medicines with expiry date’, Dr Rambadan Ram additional stated, “The medicines with expiry dates in March and April 2024 have been saved individually and weren’t getting used. They have been to be discarded and have been talked about within the discharge register.”
