Guwahati: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati lately hosted a two-day brainstorming workshop for Northeast India for structured dialogue on Technology Vision 2047 with school members, professionals, and stakeholders from varied scientific disciplines invited from the 8 states of North-East India, media experiences mentioned.

The workshop was collectively organised by IIT Guwahati and Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) and was designed to seize the ideas and concepts about future India from the consultants, experiences East Mojo.

Prominent industrialist Prabhat Kamal Bezbaruah attended the occasion because the chief visitor.

The workshop was attended by greater than 60 consultants and about 70 college students from totally different disciplines, the information portal reported.

Speaking throughout the workshop, Prof. Parameswar Okay. Iyer, Officiating Director, IIT Guwahati, shared his ideas concerning the future India, experiences the information portal.

He mentioned, “North East region is blessed with rich biodiversity and every state has its own unique agricultural products with the possibility to tap into the world market. However, the problem is that they perish before they reach to the market due to a lack of storage facilities and other allied amenities. Facilitating an ecosystem of allied technologies, skilling of manpower in niche technologies and promoting technology-aided development will provide thrust for this region and make it an engine of growth in multiple sectors.”
