Kozhikode: IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF), the only unrivaled and pioneering ihub in Kerala, is inviting applications for its  Entrepreneur-In-Residence (i-EIR) Program which is designed specifically for innovative entrepreneurs to pursue their start-up aspirations, and get critical feedback to promote their entrepreneurial goals and aspirations based on Intelligent Collaborative Systems. 

Opportunities under this programme include but are not limited to co-working spaces for developing ideas into a marketable product, exposure to best practices for starting a business and broadening professional network, and guidance from experienced entrepreneurs on business concepts and strategies. Monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 would be granted for a maximum of 12 months.

The EIR Programme is mainly designed for graduate students, women and others to encourage them to take up entrepreneurship. The offering benefits include Fellowship supports, a prestigious forum for deserving and budding entrepreneurs involved in technology-based businesses to pursue their ventures without any additional risk, create, nurture and strengthen a pipeline of entrepreneurs for incubators, To make pursuing entrepreneurship related to a technology business idea more attractive among available career options, and Encourage enterprising individuals to venture out and pursue daring entrepreneurial ideas besides enhancing the quantity and quality of start-ups.

 

The applicants should be Indian citizens currently residing in India, completed undergraduate education in Science or Engineering, and have a history/track record of invention/tinkering solutions or volunteering with organizations to address societal/environmental impact issues. The EIR Programme event is Sponsored by Canara Bank.

 

The Department of Science and Technology has sanctioned ₹100 crores to IIT Palakkad under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) to set up a Technology Innovation Hub on Intelligent Collaborative Systems (TIH-ICS). IPTIF plans to attract potential and harness expertise available nationwide, thus fostering research innovation, world-class technology, and product development. One of the primary goals of IPTIF is to work in close collaboration with the industry to deliver commercial, technology, and products and build a vibrant innovation ecosystem by providing a reliable platform for technology-based start-ups and entrepreneurs.
