India, Japan to carry joint train to advertise air defence cooperation

India and Japan are set to carry a joint air train – Veer Guardian-2023 – at Hyakuri Air Base, Japan from January 12 to 26, to advertise air defence cooperation.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) will take part within the train.

The Indian contingent taking part within the air train will embrace 4 Su-30 MKI, two C-17 and one IL-78 plane, whereas the JASDF might be taking part with 4 F-2 and 4 F-15 plane, the IAF stated.

The train will embrace the conduct of varied aerial fight drills between the 2 Air Forces. As per the IAF, they’ll undertake multi-domain air fight missions in a posh setting and can trade finest practices.
