Indian-origin scholar freezes to loss of life after being denied entry to US membership

NEW DELHI: A teenage Indian-origin scholar at Illinois University froze to loss of life close to a membership that denied him entry. Akul Dhawan, 18, was on an evening out along with his buddies, in response to a report by the Champaign County Coroner’s Office in Illinois, a month after the incident. The Indian-American scholar died of hypothermia following ‘acute alcohol intoxication and extended publicity to freezing temperatures, which considerably contributed to his loss of life.’
