The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) has denied giving any allow to Mashal Sports, Pro Kabaddi Organisers, for organising a Women’s Kabaddi League.

Earlier on March 2, Mashal Sports, the PKL organisers, introduced that they’re planning to launch a ladies’s kabaddi league in collaboration with the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF).

Anupam Goswami, CEO, Mashal Sports & League Commissioner, Pro Kabaddi League had mentioned: “Our plans for knowledgeable ladies’s kabaddi league are primarily based on the success we have now seen within the males’s league and our dedication to develop kabaddi as a contemporary world-class sport from India. We might be working with our varied stakeholders, together with the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) and the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) to launch the ladies’s league.

The IKF secretary common Satthasivam Munisamy confirmed to IANS on a name that no such allow has been given both to Mashal Sports or Star Sports for a Women’s Kabaddi League and that it’s the board that decides the identical.

“Not but, we haven’t given permission to anybody. Maybe we are able to let you recognize later however not now. I’ll talk about this with our president and the board then solely we are able to announce it. So far, we have now not given permission to anybody to conduct the Women’s League or a World cup,” IKF secretary general Satthasivam Munisamy told IANS exclusively on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Ronnie Screwvala, who already owns a males’s workforce within the PKL, admitted that he can be eager to personal a Women’s Kabaddi workforce, although he added that he had not acquired a proper communication

It is believed that Power Sportz has related to the IKF for the promotion of Women’s Kabaddi globally.

Editor-in-Chief Power Sportz TV, Kanthi D. Suresh, confirmed that there’s a collaboration to advertise ladies’s kabaddi globally. “We want to make a public assertion on the identical solely together with the federation officers,” he mentioned.
