According to an earlier report, the Pro edition of the next iPhone 14 series will most likely have a redesigned display and upgraded cameras. According to a new 9to5Mac story, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 14 Pro versions would include a new ultra-wide angle lens with bigger pixels.

According to the article, a sensor with bigger pixels captures images with more light and less noise without the need for any post-processing methods. This latest update is anticipated to boost the iPhone’s low-light photography capabilities.

The newest iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max smartphones, for example, include a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 1.0m (micrometre) pixels. According to Kuo, this year’s iPhone 14 Pro versions would have 1.4m pixels. The new components, however, are up to 70% more expensive than the current ones, according to the article.

According to previous reports, the ultra-wide angle lens will not be the only camera update featured with the iPhone 14 Pro. The future versions are expected to include a new 48-megapixel wide lens capable of filming 8K video. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera is believed to include a bigger f/1.9 aperture sensor with autofocus, allowing it to capture better photographs in low-light situations.

These modifications, however, will be limited to the Pro versions. The base models in the iPhone 14 series will not only retain the same design as the iPhone 13, but will also include cameras similar to its predecessor.
