Kane Williamson-led SRH are going ahead with the same team that played vs Delhi Capitals. Both the teams are coming after a series of consecutive defeats and are in the bottom half of the points table with PBKS sitting in seventh spot and SRH in eighth. Kings are coming after a close defeat in their previous game vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) where Kartik Tyagi conceded just one run in the final over. Punjab have three wins from their nine games so far in this season while Hyderabad won just a single game in their eight matches. Speculations On PBKS XI, Eyes On Chris Gayle!
Punjab Kings dropped Chris Gayle as Aiden Markram made his IPL debut in the previous match. Markram added 26 runs off 20 balls at No.3 on his debut vs Rajasthan Royals where PBKS middle-order choked in the Kartik Tyagi’s incredible final over. Chris Gayle is the leading run-scorer in T20 cricket and recently he started playing at No.3 for his various T20 sides. He played few good knocks for PBKS as well while batting at No. 3. So, all eyes will now be on PBKS team management whether they would continue with the same combination or bring back the Universe Boss in the playing XI.
