A four-year-old American lady is safely in Israel after being launched Sunday from captivity in Gaza, U.S. President Joe Biden mentioned as he urged the pause in Israel-Hamas preventing be prolonged to permit for extra hostage releases.

“She’s free and she’s in Israel now,” Mr. Biden mentioned in a unexpectedly organized look earlier than the media after the Israeli military introduced that 17 hostages have been being freed by Hamas.

“She’s been through a terrible trauma,” Mr. Biden mentioned of Abigail, whose mother and father have been murdered by Hamas militants when members of the Islamist group attacked Israel on October 7. On Friday in captivity, she marked her fourth birthday, the U.S. President mentioned.

“Today, she’s free, and Jill (Biden) and I, together with so many Americans, are praying for the fact that she is going to be alright,” he mentioned.

“She is now safely in Israel, and we continue to press and expect for additional Americans will be released as well. And we will not stop working until every hostage is returned to their loved ones.”

The White House has mentioned that 10 Americans — seven males, two girls and Abigail — have been lacking and presumed held hostage by Hamas.

Mr. Biden mentioned a complete of 58 hostages have now been launched by Hamas through the present non permanent halt in preventing, by way of what he known as “intensive U.S. diplomacy” by himself and administration officers working with Israel, Qatar, Egypt and others.

The U.S. President mentioned he hoped to see the pause prolonged.
