Actors Ayesha Jhulka, Juhi Chawla and Madhoo Shah will be seen on the upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show. During the show, host Kapil Sharma joked about Madhoo, who starred opposite her Roja co-star Arvind Swami in Thalaivii.

Sony has shared a new promo which shows Ayesha, Madhoo and Juhi arriving on stage as guests. As they get seated, Kapil tells Madhoo in Hindi, “When I had seen Roja, Arvind Swami was your husband in the film. Then I saw Thalaivii, he again was your husband in the film. Itna original biwi saath nahi deti, jitna inhone diya (even a real wife doesn’t stay for so long, as much as you did).” Madhoo and all others were left in splits.

Written and directed by Mani Ratnam, Roja was an Independence Day release in 1992. It revolved around a simple village girl named Roja (Madhoo) from Tamil Nadu, making desperate efforts to find her husband Rishi (Arvind Swami) after he is kidnapped by militants in Jammu and Kashmir. The film was a hit for its music and won three National Film Awards, including Best Film on National Integration and National Film Award for Best Music Direction.

Thalaivii featured Kangana Ranaut in the lead role of late actor-turned-politician J Jayalalithaa. Arvind was seen in the role of M. J. Ramachandran (based on M. G. Ramachandran) while Madhoo played his wife V. N. Janaki Ramachandran.

Madhoo was recently seen in the film, Nail Polish as well, which released on ZEE5. She is currently working on a few movies in the South.
