Hollidaysburg’s Gretta Rhodes and Ella Jodon will play for the District 6 Class 3A doubles tennis championship on Saturday morning.

Rhodes and Jodon, the No. 3 seed, beat three teams on Thursday on the Herb Faris courts at Mansion Park to advance to the finals to face the No. 1 seed and defending champion, Quiana Guo and Catelyn Janac of State College.

The finals will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mansion Park.

Rhodes, a sophomore, and Jodon, a junior, beat Central Mountain’s Kati Kwiatek and Ella Talbot, 6-0, 6-2; Mifflin County’s Jalynn Yoder and Isabella Wagner, 6-0, 6-0, and State College’s Surthi Ramesh and Marissa Xu, 6-2, 6-2.

CC duo top-seeded

Central Cambria’s team of Olivia Ratchford and Corinne Markovich is seeded No. 1 for today’s District 6 Class 2A Doubles Tournament on the Herb Faris courts at Mansion Park.

Ratchford is a three-time District 6 doubles champion.

The tournament will run through the semifinals today with the final slated for 10 a.m. Saturday at Mansion Park.

Westmont Hilltop’s Sam Cavrak and Madison Podrebarac are seeded No. 2, followed by Tyrone’s Victoria Reese and Rachel Stricek and Bishop Guilfoyle’s Erin Talko and Julia Runk.
