The Cajundome will host “Acadiana Drive-In,” a 50’s style drive-in movies and entertainment event.
The outdoor events on Sept. 18, 19 and 20 at Cajunfield parking lot. Sept. 18 will have Into the Spider-Verse and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Sept. 19 and 20, live, local artists will perform. Starting times vary from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m..
- Sept. 18: Spiderman-Into the Spider-Verse: Gates open at 5 p.m. movie starts at 6:30 p.m.
- Sept. 18: Indiana Jones-Raiders of the Lost Ark: Gates open at 9 p.m. movie starts at 10:30 p.m.
- Sept. 19: Live local country performers: Marc Broussard, Ray Boudreaux, Roddie Romero, Clay Cormier & Julien Primeaux. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
- Sept. 20: Live local Cajun and zydeco performers: Chubby Carrier, Corey Ledet, Wayne Singleton, Horace Trahan, Lane Mack, Terry & the Zydeco Bad Boys. Gates open at 3:30 p.m., concert starts at 5 p.m.
‘Acadiana Drive-In’ was created by Cajundome and Social Entertainment to bring entertainment back to the community during the pandemic.
Tickets are available here. One ticket per vehicle, number of passengers limited to the number of legal seat belts inside the vehicle.
From each ticket, $1 will be donated to United Way of Acadiana.
Concessions will be available for purchase by Reggie’s Soulfood.
