This Instant Rava Appe/Appam recipe is a bonus as it’s fairly simple to make and tastes scrumptious. The neatest thing about Appe is that they maintain their mushy texture even after they’ve cooled down, making them preferrred for packing in lunch packing containers.

Recipe:

Mix ½ cup of rava (suji) and a pair of cups of curd in a bowl.

Add diced carrots, capsicum, inexperienced chillies, beans, onions, cilantro, pepper powder, and salt. Mix properly.

Gradually add ¼ cup water to make a thick but pourable batter.

Cover and let it relaxation for 10-15 minutes.

Heat 1 tsp oil, add ¼ teaspoon of mustard seeds and 4-5 curry leaves. Add this to the batter and blend.

Add half a packet of eno fruit salt and blend vigorously.

Grease appe pan with oil, pour 1 ½ tsp batter into every cavity.

Garnish with diced carrots and inexperienced beans.

Cover and prepare dinner on low flame for 3-4 minutes till golden brown.

Flip and prepare dinner for 2-3 minutes extra.

Serve sizzling with coriander-coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
