Since I lost all my weight during the lockdown, I did not take any professional training for weight loss. My younger brother guided me during this journey and I did not stick to any particular workout regime. My workout routine consisted of running 5 kilometers every day, climbing up and down 7 floors for at least 3 times in a row, brisk walking for at least 4 kilometers and cross trainer for 15 minutes. I included exercises like jumping jacks, squats, lunges and side-kicks in my routine. I used to workout twice a day for an hour each and did not miss even a single day before completing my 100 days.

Fitness secrets I unveiled: I have stopped eating after 7 pm and do not eat anything before 9 am. This method has done wonders for my body. Also, I completely removed sugar from my diet and did not add it even to tea or coffee. I gave up fried food and relied more on fresh fruits and vegetables.

How do I stay motivated? Losing 28 kilos in 100 days was obviously not easy. Initially, it was incredibly difficult to stay focused and stay motivated. However, when you see the numbers on the weighing scale go down with every passing day, you feel relieved. So, I continued my quest to lose weight.

How do you ensure you don’t lose focus? When you start seeing changes in your body, your confidence level slowly starts going up and you also feel more energetic than before. Hence, all these little and big changes in the way I looked and felt kept me focused on my journey.

What’s the most difficult part of being overweight? When you are overweight, you feel exhausted all the time. You even start taking naps in the afternoon. Moreover, you have less clothing options and people come and keep offering unsolicited advise. It was extremely annoying.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? I want to maintain my current shape and don’t want to go back to how I was.
