After its first summer intensive week of the summer, students from Lone Star Ballet showcased their talents Saturday evening at Sam Houston Park. In the ballet’s free performance, students performed hip-hop pieces, taught to them by Brandon J, the artistic director for ENVY Dance Company, a hip-hop performing group.

Students also got to perform pieces originally supposed to be in Lone Star Ballet’s spring showcase, which was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

For ballet-centered students, Jennifer Kronenburg Guerra will host the August Intensive Program beginning Aug. 17. For more information about both intensive programs, as well as Lone Star Ballet, visit https://lonestarballet.org.
