Hyderabad-based Sreshth Foundation has introduced Mukesh Goud Memorial nationwide championships within the historical Indian sport, Malla Yuddha (Indian type wrestling) at Hyderabad from February 9 to 12, with prize cash of ₹ 31 lakh on supply.

A complete of 57 prizes in 17 classes might be given to the Malla Yoddhas on this nationwide championship being held in Telangana for the primary time, stated Vikram Goud, founding father of Sreshth Foundation and BJP Youth chief, at a press convention right here. He stated the championship is being held within the reminiscence of his father late Mukesh Goud, who was a Minister within the Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy, Rosaiah and N. Kiran Kumar Reddy governments.

He stated the concept of Malla Yuddha competitions was taken from the Central authorities’s ‘Khelo India’ programme, which has been launched to revive the sports activities tradition and historical Indian sports activities. “We are committed to building a strong ecosystem at the grassroots level to revive ‘Kushti’ culture in India. We plan to hold this event annually across Indian States,” Mr Goud stated.
