Given rapid changes in schooling caused by the Coronavirus, local schools are set to receive nearly $2 million in grant funding to improve access to remote technology. The news comes after State Senator Andy Manar made the announcement earlier this week.

Digital Equity Formula Grants, funded by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, are intended to help schools bridge the digital dived and afford more reliable access to the technology needed to participate in e-learning.

The Big Z spoke with State Senator Manar, who says the money will be put to good use.
