Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his spouse Priscilla Chan are planning to construct a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker in Hawaii, in response to an investigation report by Wired revealed earlier this month. The couple reportedly need to have steel doorways for the shelter – frequent in bomb shelters.
The Wired cited planning paperwork and interviews in its report. The door will reportedly be manufactured from steel and crammed in with concrete, the media outlet added. According to a Daily Mail report, Zuckerberg’s Hawaii plot in on the Kauai island, solely 10 miles away from Pierce Brosnan’s home.
The bunker-like building, per the Wired report, is one a part of the plan on the 1400-acre compound, generally known as the Ko’olau Ranch. Documents present that the compound is partially full and is about to incorporate greater than a dozen buildings with a minimum of 30 bedrooms and 30 loos. As per the report, it is going to even have two mansions.
“There are also plans for 11 treehouses, as well as a fitness center, guest houses and operations buildings.” the report provides.
The report, nevertheless, would not specify the timeline and intent of the bunker. The TIME quoted Brandi Hoffine Barr, a spokesperson for Zuckerberg and Chan, as saying: “Mark and Priscilla worth the time their household spends at Ko’olau Ranch and in the area people, and are dedicated to preserving the ranch’s pure magnificence.”
Barr, per the report, added that 80 luxurious houses have been slated to be constructed on the property earlier than the Meta boss and his spouse purchased it.
