LIVE market updates: The Indian benchmark indices continued to trade in the negative territory in the afternoon. The BSE Sensex fell 243 points at 59,170, and the Nifty has declined 73 points at 17,638. The market breadth, however, remains fairly postive with 1,831 advancing shares versus 1,346 declining stocks on the BSE. Broader markets also continue to outperform the benchmark indices, with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices up 0.3 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively.
