‘Stranger Things’ star Matthew Modine vowed to guard Millie Bobby Brown from the “destructive” forces in Hollywood.

The 63-year-old actor – who performed Dr Brenner/Papa within the hit Netflix present – has admitted he all the time felt protecting of his younger co-star and was decided to do every thing he may to verify she stayed “safe” and understood the pitfalls of working within the leisure business.

During his interview on the show, Matthew also revealed he had some strange experiences with fans of the show who seemed enamoured with his character. Speaking of his fan encounters, he told the show host: “They’d say: ‘I like you Papa, would you prefer to go have a s**g?'”

He also shared the influences behind his character’s costumes revealing they were inspired by Cary Grant’s outfits in 1959 Hitchcock thriller ‘North by Northwest’.

Matthew explained: “Japanese anime characters, the dangerous guys, they’ve white, white hair. I assumed that may very well be actually cool. He was alleged to put on work boots and denims and a plaid shirt and I stated, ‘Wouldn’t or not it’s nice if he dressed like Cary Grant in North by Northwest?’”
