During a shock checking on the mess of the sports activities wing of the Punjab Institute of Sports (PIS) in Mohali on Saturday, Punjab sports activities minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer took a severe notice of the meals being served to the gamers.

The minister, who himself ate the meals and inspected the meals preparation supplies on the mess, gave a warning to the meals contractor and his employees. He stated the meals was under no circumstances passable and beneath the usual.

He warned the mess employees current on the spot relating to the dearth of dietary meals for the gamers.

He known as the contractor over the telephone and advised him that such callosity wouldn’t be tolerated.

He stated that the state authorities wouldn’t compromise with the well being and eating regimen of the gamers. He warned the contractor of cancellation of contract in case poor high quality meals can be served to the gamers.

On the directions of the sports activities minister, the PIS issued a warning letter to the contractor.

He stated that solely high quality edible merchandise must be used and it must be ensured that nutritious meals, which is necessary for eating regimen, is served to the gamers.

The minister additionally instructed the officers to conduct such checking throughout the state and take strict motion in case of any shortcoming present in service of nutritious meals.

He advised the contractor to feed correct eating regimen to the gamers as per the settlement.

Around 350 gamers of hockey, boxing, wrestling, judo, weightlifting, basketball and gymnastics are taking coaching on the PIS sports activities wing.
